Runs for 2 sec's then dies.

92 Mighty Max 2.4L Truck has been running great I gave it to my sister about 6 months ago and she called me last night saying she was having issues.

I showed up she said it was running fine all night check engine light would come on every now and then but last night when she let off the clutch it would die in neutral. I am guessing its just a sensor because the truck will run if I hold the throttle open. And it runs just fine. I drove it home like that I just made sure I was always on the gas.

Basically the truck just will not idle. Just dies. Is this the idle air control valve or a TPS? I don't have an 0BD1 scanner to check it out with. Check engine light is staying on now.

Also on a side not I own Eric Plebani's Turbo Mighty Max. It just needs to be put back together. I have all the parts transmission has been rebuilt and I have a completely rebuilt 6-bolt 4G63 motor that is already in the truck now. I need to get rid of it have no interest in it anymore and its taking up space. If interested send me a pm or post. The video of its on youtube under chowda633. Could be a bad vacum leak. Could be TPS or the IDLE controll valve. Have a shop look at it. Or do the dirty and check your codes old school style. How much are you looking for the truck? Not running.
