1990 2.4 l stock pipe diameter

Hello again. My truck has a pacesetter header that I bought years ago. I never did get the piping right so I want to do it right this time. First I need the stock diameter of the exhaust pipe and second I need somebody to tell me what diameter should I get for the exhaust with the headers. Thanks

I don't think this forum is dead, its just that only an idiot would get under their truck and measure the diameter of their exhaust pipe for you.

On my 85 truck with a similar engine (2.0 liter), my exhaust pipe is two inches in diameter.

As for what diameter to use, that's up to you to decide.

Your collector size should be the maximum size pipe that you use. It doesn't make much sense to run a four-inch pipe off a 2.5-inch collector.

If you already purchased a 2.5-inch muffler, then use 2.5-inch pipe.
