2wd to a 4wd swap

I have a 90MM 2.4L engine 5 speed regular cab 4x2 pickup and a complete 89D50 2.6L engine 5speed 4x4 donor truck. The engine and body on the d50 are completely trashed but it was free. I am thinking about taking the A/C, power steering and the 4wd and transfer to the other truck. I see the accessory brackets are different for the 2 engines. Will the transmissions interchange or will the transfer case bolt to the back of the transmission that I already have?

dont think the 2.6 trans will bolt to a 2.4 and in the same breath i dont think you can bolt that transfer case to that 2wd trans but i may be wrong.

i thought the 2.4 and 2.6 were both wide blocks. and they could interchange between the 2.
