Converting 4wd trans to a 2wd????

Ok I was wondering if it is possible to convert a 4wd auto trans into a 2wd auto trans. I know with Chevy transmissions to do this all you have to essentially do is remove transfer case and bolt on a 2wd tail shaft section. So is it that simple with the transmissions in these old Mitsu's mines a 83' 2 door

I don't know the answer to your question. You may have to completely disassemble the transmission to install an longer transmission output shaft.
