Hey guys im new to the d-50 so im askin for help. i have a 1989 d-50 2.6 4wd truck that i love but for some reason it has a dead spot/sputter around half throttle. its worse when cold but once the truck warms up alittle its not as bad but still there and annoying as hell. ive replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, all vaccum lines, plugs, wires and adjusted the carb every which way and cant get rid of it. any thoughts or help would be awesome. Im thinkin of just buying a weber carb conv. kit and callin it a day. and upgrading the fuel pump as recomended. NOTE:( Truck runs fine at begining throttle and fine once i get past the sputter.)

check your throttle postion sensor, remove and set multimeter to ohms and to sweep with the sensor. The reading should be from 0 to 5 ohms if i remember right. If there is a dead spot then that is might be it.A dead spot forms when at the most used area.
