wanting to make a somewhat quick little truck for the street, something to take care of those civics and v8 trucks who think they are so bad, is modding the stock 2.0 even worth doing? and if so what are some of the best ways to get some hp?

if its not i know the 4g63 fits are there any others? thanks for any help

Not even worth it they have about 80-90hp stock, you wont get too much more out of them , just go 4g63 like I did. You can put anything(motor-wise) in the truck, just depends on how much work you want to do/money you want to spend. The 4g63 is the only thing that will bolt up to your stock tranny though.

Hi,

Most people swap in a 6-bolt 2.0 liter dohc engine from a 1990 to 1991.5 Eclipse, Talon or Galant.

2.0 liter dohc non-turbo 130 hp
2.0 liter dohc turbo 190 hp

Swap issues include:

Converting to fuel injection
Different ECU
Different engine wiring harness
Bigger alternator needed
Moving engine forward or modifying firewall
Upgraded clutch
Moving the throttle body to the other end of the intake manifold
Front mounted intercooler and piping
Turbo oil supply and return lines
Turbo coolant lines

Follow this link for more information:

Hope this helps, John
