I have a 90mm and my ecu went out I put another one in it if its a newer ecu what problems would I run into because it acts like the starter is locked up but if I roll it off it cranks easy and if I hit the starter while its running it will turn is that because my ecu is a newer model ecu?

Check the timing. It might be to high.

It runs fine when its cranked its just the starter wont turn the motor like its in a bind or something

Yea. Ur starter will wind it till it comes to a compression stroke and it'll stop? Just try turning the distributor. And if that don't work try checking the ground wires from the battery.

OK but the starter wont turn at all unless its runing it mighty be bad off but y would the timing be off ive only changed the ecu in the truck would that effect the timing

Ok. The relay that is under the ecu that has to screws holding it on is the starter relay. U can try shaping it out with a buddys. But I'm not sure. Let me look at the wiring diagram and ill get back with u.

I thank the solinoid went bad on the starter because it would turn over with my old ecu after it went out and i pluged it back up and still din have anythang im gonna try another starter and see what happens btw how do you set a avatar pic i uploaded pics but cant get em to work

The starter has a little wire going to it. Take a test light and stick it n it and ground the other end and have some turn the switch. If it lights up its the starter.
