ENGINE SWAP

CAN ANYONE GIVE ME AN IDEA AS TO HOW MUCH TROUBLE IT WOULD BE TO SWAP A 89 EFI MOTOR INTO A 87 CARB BOTH ARE 2.6 D50 4X4 I'M THINKING EVERYTHING WILL SWAP OVER JUST NOT SURE ABOUT WIRING, ECM, ETC.. ALSO WILL THE HEADS INTERCHANGE ON THESE MOTORS ?

Don't do it unless you have a complete donor. Many things are needed including computer, wiring harness, gas tank (including fuel pump), gas lines, air filter housing (which has the maf sensor) and lots of other stuff. I've done it, and without a donor PU sitting next to it, it would have been impossible or at least very expensive.
