balljoint help!

i have a 1990 mighty max and i am replacing the left side top ball joint.
i dropped the spindle pulled the balljoint apart and i cannot for the life of me get the ball joint to come out its splines are the only thing holding it in now . So does anyone have any ideas?

ive never taken an upper out of the control arm but im almost positive there pressed in. might be a snap ring in there too.

yes i've pulled the snap ring off but its being a pain getting it out.
i have a ball joint press but its hard to get it to fit between the control arms so i'm thinking about taking the top control off and putting it in a vise then using the ball joint press.
what has to be does to pull of a top control arm

17mm wrench there just 2 bolts holding it on. make sure you keep track of the shims so it wont mess with the allignment.

theres only bolts on the bottom ball joint

IIRC, the stock upper a-arm/balljoint aren't serviceable ie must replace as an assembly..
At least thats what they tell me.

well im not trying to service it but ive got tit out now im just trying to get the new one in because its hard as piss
