1988 tachometer question

I'm new to the Mighty Max but i just bought one and I love it. My questions is how to hook up a tach? I've tried everyway that i know but i still can't get it to work. I had the needle jump a few times but now it wont do anything. Where do I hook the green wire on the coil? Also, if i hooked it up wrong could it have fried the tach? it's a 2.0 engine. Thanks in advance for the help.

you deffinitely could have fried it , the coil has a negative terminal , but if its hooked up and you probe it they will both be hott wires , undo the wires on the coil , turn you ignition to the on position and test light each and find the negative, other than that , you need positive red,ground black, and white lights usually linking to your dimmer switch, hope this helps

Thanks I'll give this a try. I used a test light and like you said they were both showing hot. I'll unhook them and try it again and let you know how it worked.
