truck wont start...help if ya can.

OK.. 1991 2.4l mm FI
I replaced the lash adjusters(lifters) today...after putting all back together, no start...it cranks, i smell gas...but no spark...all wires are back together...i logged each step i did, I did put each plug wire 1/4 inch to ground and no spark.....i put the center wire from the coil to ground, no spark.....this is where I'm not sure......at the coil there are 2 wires going in....i get 0vdc across the 2....on 1 of them to ground i get 9.5vdc....on the other to ground i get 0vdc.......when i ohm the coil primary i get 1.88 ohms...the book reads i should get .72-.88........its just odd that this happened right after replacing the lifters........
another thing...not related to above.....the book reads that the lash adjusters should come primed with diesel oil.....mine didnt...do i need to do anything with that?
If anyone has anything to help here id really appreciate it

well got it figured out....the plug going into the power transistor had a broken wire in the plug....knuckshaft at hotrodcoffeeshop sent me a spare plug he had and it started right up...wooohooo

i had this same problem before you go changing the computer check the ignition control module on front of engine where distributor plug plugs in at..if it has no fire then there will be no spark nor any injector pulse because of this part..should have a part number j121 on it.
