Hello, I recently replaced my old carburetor with a rebuilt one.
The new carburetor has troubles starting the truck, especially if the motor has sat, but is still hot. The idle seems to be high as well.
Any body know what adjustments need to be made?
Thanks!

BTW I have an 86 d50.

Hi Chris,

Its hard to describe where the adjustment screws are for your carburetor. I would recommend you buy a repair manual for your truck which will provide the pictures and/or diagrams you need.

Also for the hot start problem, make sure your choke is operating correctly.

Thanks John,
I did discover that my choke remains closed during a "hot start", but opens promptly once the engine is running. I have the electric choke.
