So I have previously posted about carburetor problems, which I have finally cleared up after nearly 3 months.
(Never buy from National Carburetors. Had to send it back 2 times).
My 86 D50 has been hesitating under acceleration, which was originally diagnosed as the accelerator pump in the carb. Now that I have the new one on and adjusted by a shop I have the same problem again!
The odd thing is, when the carb was not adjusted and running super rich I did not have these problems ie rough idle, staling, misfiring ect.
I had the head off once and the guy helping me said that the fuel jets looked dirty, but okay. Could this be my problem?
I am pretty sure my vacuum lines are okay, but I did have to replace the carb 3 times, and may have gotten something mixed up, but I am pretty sure they are good. Anyone have a good diagram?

Thanks for your help!

Ya, I had the same problem when I rebuilt my motor. I got a couple hoses to carb crossed. It wouldn't go over 60 and really lagged, my header would glow red from getting so hot. Just recheck your hoses I hate carbs

...also It stumbles the most when I get heavy footed. Often I have to pump the pedal to get the motor to stop misfiring and hesitating.

ps i am not sure if my last post actually posted. Does the Haynes manual have a vacuum diagram?
Thanks!

when was the last time you changed your spark plug wires and plugs, cap n rotor? after I change mine mainly the spark plug wire, it really smoothed out my engine.
