I have a leak in my power steering gear. Nothing drastic but enough to empty the reservoir after a few months. I'm going to be pulling and rebuilding the thing but am wondering if anyone else has done this already?
It's likely just the seal at the pitman arm but I figure I'll just redo all the seals and gaskets while it's out. If anyone has done this and knows what tools are needed, your input would be very helpful. All the Haynes says is "Special tools are needed"
From an exploded view of the thing it doesn't appear it's anything extraordinary. I'll probably just take some pictures along the way for reference. I'd rather rebuild it for $50 though than spend $200+ for one that's already rebuilt.
