I need help identifying my automatic transmission

I have a 1986 Dodge Ram 50 with the 2.6L and automatic transmisson. I would like to know what model this transmission is. I could not find anything in the Haynes manual I have.

I have heard it might be a 904 yet I would like to verify this. I have also heard it could be a 998 or a 999.

It would help me out to know. I would like to install a full manual valve body in the unit yet need to get the right one.

If it helps I can take and post a picture of the transmission.

With overdrive could be an Aisin AW2 or AW4, look for tag on transmission.

No OD could be a Chrysler 904, but more likely to be Aisin.
