My first Toy was a brand new '89 Black shortbed (back in '89 of course and for only $8900). I dropped it within 4 hours of driving it home from the dealership. Then I went out that evening and baught 15x8 sawblades with BFG 195/50-15's. It was the sweetest, definately the cleanest low rider in Charleston, SC! Back then we didn't have 20's, or even 17's. We had not even entered the world of air bags! Air shocks came shortly after that. I was the first East Coaster to get the Stillen "Toyrossa" ground effects kit. Did the diamond tilt hood, shell with walk-thru with the speaker box/bed thing with four Kicker 15's, got broken into almost once a week, even with the $800 Alpine alarm. Got tired of riding like a cinder block in about '94 so I baught a new 4wd Toyota and left the low life. I've gone through about 4 projects since, but no low riders. Mostly street rods and lifted Toyotas. Now I want my mini back. I want to start a new one with bags and BD. I'm trying to sell my daily driver Toyotas (87 4x4 and 87 MR2) and get my hands dirty on an 89-94 2wd fuel injected. Can anyone help me get back to the low life?
