Can i get better side-to-side if i take off my sway bar???

i have a 1996 S10 SS with the 4.3. im running 2500lb bags up front. i dont have my 4 link yet... i was wondering if by taking off my sway bar i could get more side to side motion, or if its just the fact taht i dont have a 4 link yet taht im not getting up high in the front on each side.
