dash swap

i might buy an 87 ranger and i was wondering how hard it is to swap the later model rounded dash into it? is it a completly bolt in deal or does it require some heavy fabricating? im not sure exactly what years but they had em in 91-92's im pretty sure, pre 93 anyways, also will all my HVAC and shit still work?
