I wanna convert my 88 nissan to the new dash. I believe 94-up will work. I got the dash and the instrument cluster. I konw the speedo will have to be redone to work, but i think i got that worked out. Now I noticed that the connections on the back of the new cluster and the old cluster are different. I believe one is the same. What I want to know is if I can just take the plugs off the new harness and chnge it over by just cutting off the plugs on the old one and rewiring. Is it just color matching? Or has anyone done it? Any answers will help. Also I got an older cluster that has a tach, and the one in my truck doesnt have a tach, I heard that all trucks came with hookups for the tach, but it was the cluster that dicated if they had one or not. Can I just put in my cluster with the tach If I find the connectors? I need to know this in case there is no way to get this new dash stuff to work. Thanks...
