All red l.e.d. lights, legal?

I have some led lights and if there illegal or not, i'm installing them anyways. But my question is, there all red. I mean i'll rig them up for brake lights, running lights, and turn signals but what about back up lights? If its illegal then i'll be a little more careful about it. I know i'll be backing up somewhere and some dumbass will sit there looking at me or not see white and almost if not hit me. Probably some old people.
