OK here is the thing we all know that our cheesy 86hp stock DOHC 2.2L engine Sucks! However I am pretty sure that an MX6, 626, and Probe all use the same block that our trucks have. My question is has anyone taken the time to compare the engines so we would know which parts are best, which parts are compatible, and how to make the best of a bad situation. My truck Personally has just about all I can do done to it and still only has like 215 hp. I have headers, webber carb, swapped cams, shaved(angle cut) head, multicut valves, over bore cylinders, balanced and lightened crank, port and polish heads and intake, swirl port spacer, and alot more. Thing is I hate the thought that the only way I can get more out of my engine is to do a swap or add NOS. Surley parts from the other engines are compatible and if so are any of them gonna provide and hp advantage. And do they make a turbo or supercharger to fit my engine??? Well let me know guys.
