Hello YotaScene!
My buddy recommeded this site because he is a member over at mazdaBscene and found that there is a YotaScene.
I have had my '77 LongBed pickup with over 300k miles for about 2 years, it was stolen from me last year and partially stripped. Luckily police found it about an hour south of me in a parking lot. They took my 70's camper and someone decided to run across the hood and roof!
The factory paint was in good condition after some compound and wax, that is until it was stolen and the dents from the feet of the @$$ hole that ran across it were "added". I have since rattle canned the hood and roof because of it.
Motor is on its last legs and I'm just waiting for it to go so I can rebuild it. This is currently my DD, my only car/truck and my first yota. I am in Cali so smog laws are crazy strict so I might do a 22R or just a straight rebuild not quite sure yet. The only mods I have done to it is swap the Ignition to a magnetic dist from an '80 20R and GM control module. The motor leaks coolant and burns oil, runs rough most of the time and seems to have be decent/poorly maintained throughout its 2 owner life (I'm the 3rd), at least the engine has, but then again the Odometer has rolled over for the third time last month so its not as bad as it could be. The previous owner (the original owners nephew) rarely changed the oil or did any maintenance on it at all but it did sit in his condo parking lot for 2-4 years driven every year around the block, ugh I have spent engough money just to get it to run a little better, although I am amazed that it still runs with over 300,000 miles! "Just die already so I can rebuild you!!!"
Anyways enough talk here are some Pics of it.
This is how/where it sat for about 3 years or so. Also the day I got it.
After the first compound and wax. Also painted the wheels.
After I got it back from being stolen and the person ran across the hood and roof. I rattled them and pushed out the dents as best I could.
This is how it sits today, Still a lot of work to be done!
Next to my buddy's B2200
Thanks for checking it out. I'm happy to be here and have already found a lot of useful info here.
