Welding bed shut

i wasnt sure how to actullay begin this thing but i do have a general idea,if someone could give me some ideas on wat to use and stuff to weld my bed shut i would really appreciate it.

use a combo skin (one piece tailgate skin and roll pan) it'll look better and install easier.

if you have the patience and can work sheet metal yo can fill in the gap where the tailgate and the inside of the bed meet. THis would give you a cleaner look but it's not really necessary.

If you use a skin combo make sure you use 1x1 square tubing to reinforce
the rear. The reason for this is to keep the "skincombo" from cracking from the bed flexing.

Now if someone would only make a skin combo for the 2wd 84-88 Jap bed....lol hint hint Grant Customs

ya thats wat i was wondering cuz i dont know wat bed i have jap or american,it has that rail all the way around,is that jap?
