E-Air tank

Anyone gotten one yet? If so, how'd yours look? I'm a little dissapointed, or pissed off, in the quality of mine. I opened the box today to find this.

Where did you get that from? My buddy ordered one from AIM that looks almost exactly like that build quality. He had the valves mounted directly off the front bungs and all the bungs were pointed in different directions. Looked horrible..

Got it from SuicideDoors.com. I called Ricky today, he said they all look this way. I'm going to strip it down bare, reweld that one shitty bung, and repaint it with that silver aluminum paint I like so much. Lol. Then it will match my links and control arms.

Thats cool. I just dont understand why tanks companies think that its ok to have their product show up all scratched and all. We wouldnt except that with any other product we buy. Makes me wonder if its just a powdercoatd AIM tank..

Oh well, glad my buddy had a new stainless tank he sold me for $50.

Well, the ports are spaced differently than other tanks. I was told that the reason they look like this, is they get shipped and boxed up to 3 seperate times before the consumer gets it at their door. This is direct from Jim, the owner of E-Air valves. I am told they were pressure tested, and the one weld is ground down because it was too big and unsightly, but it still held 200 PSI. The rest of the welds look good. So, I'm going to make it match my links, and arms.

Thats cool, I am sure with your skills you will make it look dam good! lol I just think its horse shit that something shows scratched up. Im sure just about EVERYTHING we buy is shipped 3-4 times before we get it..to a certain point of course.
