Are hub centric rings nesassary when installing aftermarket wheels on a 89-95 toyota? thanks

i think it just depends on the type of wheel you have

They aren't necessary. The wheel shops will tyry to get you to buy them with every set of wheels even if you don't need them. My friend works at a wheel place, and they get an extra percent or two if you buy those. Most wheel sdon't need them. But if your wheels/tires are balanced, and they feel like they're vibrating, go buy them.

I agree. I balanced my wheels and still had a little bit of vibration. I then got some rings and no more problems. If when you get your rims and you have to hold them up to tighten them then you should get some rings.

buying hub centric rings is like buying a warrantee from radioshack, they may benifit you, depending on what you get but most likely they are a waste of money.

OFF TOPIC:

Just saw that you were a VW tech, which dealer do you work at? I have a good friend that used to work at Tom Bush but moved back to Cali.
