when painting the block can u use regular auto paint or do you gota mix something for the heat?

use high temp paint they have some that goes up to 1200 degrees

im not gonna use cans im gonna paint the frame and motor but does hok make high temp paint

hmm for the frame u could probably do an undercoating type of thing.. im not sure if HOK has a hi-temp paint...

Sorry dude i was just assuming you were using cans, im so used to everyone doing cans...lol there seem to be less of us doing the ole' compressor and gun thing here lately..lol

I was researching paint matching my 350 when I was planning on painting my Ford a burgundy color. There is actually something that you mix into the base. And there is something you spray before you spray the base. I don't remember what anythign is called, because that was almost 4 years ago. So you can paint it any color you want. The stuff to do it is expensive though.

you can also do a high temp sealer, that way no heat will ever make it out of the sealer to harm your paint. look into to the HOK hi heat sealer/primer.i sued it on mine and no cracking, bubbling, any discoloration, nothing. good luck.
