I really hope someone can help me with this, and with a quickness. My B2200 recently started sputtering and cutting out after you drive it for a little while(like 10 min or more) and gets progressivly worse until it won't run at all. I used to have another Mazda that did the same thing and the cat was clogged up, so on the old one I hacked the exhaust off and it ran fine. Well, I thought this was the same thing, so I hacked the exhaust off right in front of the cat. Shitty thing is, it didn't help. Anyone know what the fuck is wrong with my truck? I replaced the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor like 3k miles ago, so I'm pretty sure it's not that. Like tonight on the way to my girl's house it started messing up, so I turned it off and let it sit for a min and started it up and it ran fine again. It has a computer but it's an 88 so I figure that the computer ain't doin all that much. Could the open exhaust be tripping the oxygen sensor? One of my friends says his truck runs fine with no sensor at all, so I don't have any idea. Any help would be great.
