Clear coat over primer

Ive got PPG white primer on my car now. What will it look like if i spray a couple coats of clear over it? Is it gunna look anything like paint? or is gunna look like garbage?

ive seen it done. it pretty much looks like paint but it won't last all that long, the sun will break down the primer and it will start to delam eventually

might work for a year or two though, but your adding a lot of material to sand off later.

that would be a waste of clear..which is not cheap...

Why not go out and buy some white base and then base clear it ..... i mean white is basically the cheapest color there is ....so same effect your wanting and it wont be any issues

yea if your gonna already have it wrapped up to clear go ahead and put a base coat of white down it will be better than just clearing over the primer.
