I almost have my inner fenders completly removed, and the core support is real flimsy.has anyone braced this to prevent movement,I thought about bracing the core support with some tubbing from the firewall to the core,or from the core to the frame.my only concern with not bracing it is that it might kink up my fenders while dragging.now that me and my buddy re-bodydropped it the 4-runner bumper lays flat except the frame still has 1/2 an inch if not a lil bit more before it lays out.it may seem like a stupid question, but thought I would ask before i just let it roll then be like wtf?i don't think it would hurt anything, but I wanted to see if anybody else had any problems.

Hey... try this:

About a year and a half ago a freind of mine cut out the wells on his yota and the core support got pretty flimsy too...we took off the front fenders and on the "outside" of what was left of the inner fender , we welded 1" steel tubing front to rear..that stregnthened it up nicely, and we also re-routed the wiring harness thru the pipes as well, that way when the fenders go back on, the wiring and pipes are all hidden- gives it a really clean look in the engine compartment!

yea i would use 1 inch square or even some round tubeing, u can run it right under the lip of the fender to keep it in line and clean.

i see twisted...but we are all not welding GODS with our own welders...lol, seriously, like the gussetts to the wheel tub... you shneeeeeeky shneeeeeeky guy you...
Hey, did i mention i live right on the water in florida, and if you ever feel like you need a place to stay on vacation...i have a guestroom too.....Ill be keeping the welder warm for ya! LOL

Either that or i will have to come out there and refuse to leave until my front and back suspension are re-designed and as pimp as yours...

I was going to run some square tubbing under the lip of the fender, but I may have to notch out the lip also,so that wouldn't work right?

No, just weld the pipe as close as you can to the top area, where the fender and hood meet, right inside the fender...you could even gusset the ends to gige it increased stregnth.

ok,farther inside the fender body instead of the mounting lip?did you have to bend it or can I just weld it straight in?
