tranny questions

im goin to pullapart tomorrow and i need a shifter for my 81 4x4. what years will fit? my shifter spins around and its hard to find reverse, can i fix it easy or would a new one be the best thing to do?? its a 22r 5-speed. also what models auto tranny would bolt up to my engine and transfer case?

also, will a shifter off a 80's celica or any toyotas fit?

a buddy of mine bolted a supra celica shifter in his 4 spd 86. 2wd.
