wiper motor

other than the three bolts that hold it on to the firewall, what else do you have to disconnect to get it off? im afraid to break it or something...i noticed the rods going to the blades but how do i unhook the rod from the wipers themselves? its seems that i cant get my hand in there to unhook anything or whatever. the book i have doesnt say anything about it. thanks.

Okay, I had this same problem. Where the motor attatches to the arm, theres like a pivot ball, you have to pull on that shit hard and it will pop apart.

And on my wipers, I pulled the little nut off the top and the whole arm came off. Then below that was a larger aluminum nut, which can be a bitch to get off. I think its like 23mm because my wrench set goes from 22 to 24 and neither fit. So I used a crescent wrench. One was seized on and I broke it apart ot remove it. After that they fell into the cowl and I pulled them out through the wiper motor hole.
Also under your dash, you can get your hand back there through the AC/heater orts.

no i wanted to take it out so when i paint i dont have to paint around it. its going back in.

i guess im kinda kool i take them offf n put chrome caps on them at shows only,cops are bitches round here,they c a minitruck n they pull it over
