g'day all.
Just starting work on my first truck it's a '92 hilux single cab.
I'm currentley preparing to cut the fenderwalls out of the engine bay. except theres a few things which i am wondering if they can just be disconnected and forgotten of. my engine is a 1.8 litre yn model. i bought and consulted the repair manual and they have shed no light on the "things" yet. i know it sounds stupid because they're obviously there for a reason. any ideas? i'm trying to get a show look to the engine strip it back to basics... also completely re-wireing the bay.... best left to the professionals?? i'm an apprentice electrician so i don't think it should be to much different. its all electricity right? haha.

anyway here's some photo's of the motor/ stuff i think they could be sensors for something but who knows.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers konrad.

a of those sensors are for the smog control stuff. if you dont have smog regulations you have to pass with the truck a lot of those can be capped off. or you can get an aftermarket carb for the truck and eliminate a lot of it that way. i personally would relocate as much as i could out of sight. im in the process of doing my toyota right now and am relocating stuff in spots where it cant be seen very easily.

yeah. i might just go about and try to relocate it elsewhere, i have dreams of dropping in a 20 or 13b turbo in the not too distant future so spending alot of money on the stocky is not of high importance at the moment.
does anyone know if a 13 or 20 will fit into the bay? and also is there any lrge difference between a 4 cylinder exhaust and a 13/20 exhaust setup.... will my headers fit the new engine?

cheers guys sorry about asking stupid questions and all.
****FIRST TIMER ALERT****
haha

later.
