rearends

so guys im wondering what the deal is with swapping out an 89-95 pickup rearend for a taco rearend? i know its couple inches shorter. my question is whats the good and bad of doing this? if you dont mind i need some speedie responces? thanks guys

The Taco axle is wider. The 79-83 axle is narrower, and the 73-78 axle is even narrower than that.

they get progressivly wider thru the years. taco is 1.5 inches wider than what you got now.

i know the taco one is wider but whats the point of running one on my year?

Maybe your rear tires are set pretty far inward. Otherwise there is not benefit.
