Need solution to Caddy install on toyota

Hey was sup guys Im in the middle of installing caddy tailights the long skinny ones on my friends toyota and I need to find out how to bolt the tailgate on the very bottom I can use the stock bolt or bolt whole because it would pop out in front of the tailight, what resolutions are there?Need help cause I have to mount the tailgate before I start welding on the roll pan, I'm not welding the tailage shut thats why I need it to open. Thanks
