i was thinking of shaving my doors but ppl told me that the battery dies quick......so wut u guys think i shuld do?

yeah, if you open your doors thirty times in a row every day or something. EMERGENCY ENTRY. get some thin cable from lowes a couple crimps and a big ring for it, drill a hole in the door and make a manual entry, just in case. then put some jumper cables behind your seat.

no dude, it doesnt take THAT much power to pull a pop lock...especially not enough to drain a battery. ive had mine done for a couple years now and have never had a problem related to my battery dying. i did once however have them freeze but it was 2 degrees outside so thats what i get. mine do fine in like the upper 20 degree weather but i try not to drive it on days that are that cold. also, ive wired into my truck an auxilary switch that is hard wired to my passenger door so if my lock stops working on the driver side, i can push the button hidden on the truck and still get in. also, if by chance my battery dies, i can unhook the same wires that go to the hidden switch and touch them to any 12 volt source to pop the passenger door open. if you do it, dont put all your eggs in one basket. get yourself some type of saftey net just incase. i think fbi makes a cable kit that you can put up in your inner fenderwell or where ever and use it as a pull handle incase your locks stop working. as long as you have an alarm (i have one that pages me if it is tripped) if by some chance someone finds your secret switch, if armed, the alarm will still sound so you should be okay. and if you get one like i got, it will page you so you can go out and beat some ass if need be... hope that helps

lowes = easier/cheaper.
same idea tho.
i've done 5 or 6 like that, real pain if the battery is dead and you cant get in tho.

oh yeah no doubt...i didnt even think of that. thats the same thing and cheaper so you cant argue with that!

your telling me, that time my locks froze in 2 degree weather i had to pry a window down far enough to get a coat hanger in to pull the handle... it sucked.
