Drag Racin Yota

Well it looks like I'm taking my 84 and turning it into a drag truck. It will be powered by either a 383 stroker or 454 BBC backed with a 2-speed Powerglide tranny to a 9" rear. Right now I'm tryin to find front suspension components. I want to run tubular control arms with possibly some better brakes than that of the 84 4cyl. Anyone have any insite?

you should use a big block mopar. Old dude i used to work with put one in a yota with some dart fenderwell headers looks like the motor was built for the truck, distributer is in the front so the motor is slid all the way back and a 727 torqflight and a 4 linked chrysler 8 3/4 narrowed rear he had to turn the torsion bars down to level the truck cause the motor was so far back

Good thing about these toyotas is the front end is basicly a mustang II.

But a better design for adjustability.

Mopar or no car! I miss mine. That's all I ever used to have.
