yesterday i picked up a mig 100 90 amp welder for 119. pretty cheap i think, i got it to practice, to get to know the basics of welding and see if i like it. then move on to a bigger better welder. anyways. i welded for the first time yesterday and i welded together 2 bolts. i couldnt pry them apart, so i think i did good, but the welds look like crap haha. today i was trying to keep a good bead going, but couldnt, it like sputters and doesnt seem to melt a good bead. maybe cuz im a newbie. but whats are some tips? i got some old fenders i can practice shaving. would this welder be good for shaving stuff and rollpan? also im using .30 wire, i got a spare tip for .35 and i can use a .27 also. what do you guys recommend? im taking a welding course in college, but that starts in feb 17th. just wanna start getting used to it right now. thanks
