I had a question can you build an 84-88 or 89-95 toyota pickup bagged on bodydropped on 20's without having to worry about it rubbing the hood?

depends on how much you BD it and what size tires.... i got 20"s w/o a body drop and turning sux...i have to lift it all the way up. when i BD it i'm gonna stick sum 18"s back on........

the 89-95 i believe can be bodydropped to the pinch with 20's. the 84-88 though, i think the hood and fenders sit a little lower than the newer truck so it might not work.you'll have to use the american bed for sure though to get them to clear in the rear. the bed i have wouldnt work with 20's. never really measured for sure but they are making 20" tires pretty thin nowadays. tucking is one thing but getting enough lift to turn is another.

Either bodystyle truck can go to the pinch with 20s without them coming through the hood. In some cases they don't even come above the fender pinch, just pushes it up a little. You can turn pretty low if you get the right width and offset wheel.

Ive heard of 2 trucks lifting the core support and front cab mounts up to clear the tires. Kinda seems backwards of what were all trying to accomplish tho..

Yeah theres two trucks on the rockers with raised fenders and hood/cowl to keep 20s beneath it all.

I want to run 20's past the pinch though. Is it possible to run them on 35 series tires?

your gonna have to get a tape measure out and check. my buddy jarrod out here is running a 92 bodydropped to the pinch on 20's. its pretty tight.

those guys lifted the core support up a little bit to bodydrop it to the rocker i believe. if you just go to the pinch it should clear without doing that. are there any pictures of 84-88 toyota pickups bodied on 20's? looking at my truck it looks like they would come through the hood a little bit. but then again tires have gotten pretty thin so...

I was looking at Domination the Video "Here comes trouble" and the owner of the 84-88 yota "Lo Asian" is running 20's with no problems.
