Where should one go to get sheetmetal?? I'm in SoCal, any one got any advice?? I'm tired of buying filler plates and stuff. Need some sheets to cut out myself.

You can find anything you could ever need in Escondido, at Escondido Metal Supply on Mission. They are real affordable too. My wife is the office manager there. Let me know if I can help.

That's awesome. I used to live right off of Mission on Rock Springs. So I know right where you're talking. I'll have to cruise in and check some shiz out. Thanks.

What's the difference between CR sheet metal and HR sheetmetal??

CR is cold rolled -Hr is hot rolled

As far as i know the only difference is the manipulating of the material during form.Meaning Hr steel is heated to a certain temp at the time the pc is measured and then it cools and shrinks, usally in odd shapes(not square).
Cr is at its size under a certain temp and therefor shrinks less and usually has less contaminates and shlag left on it ,even though you should clean it with a solvant first.

Hr is also easier to burn throgh than Cr for some reason!
