Switchin Trannys In a S 10.

Yea i was thinkin about switchin my stock 5 speed tranny out for a automatic 700R4 and i was wondering if i would have to change rear ends do to the change of gear ratios or not... and also do u have to get a new drive line or are they the same size thanks....
