solenoid question

i have a 89 f159 solenoid that i'm using to hook my 2 compressors up to. can someone tell me how i go about hookin this up? it has the 2 bigger terminals and the 2 smaller terminals. i was told i use the smaller ones but does it matter what side goes to what?
