rear shocks

i was wondering if the were any smaller shocks can fit into the rear of the the mazda i dont want to buy belltech ones or anything like that im looking for something that i can get from the local parts store, the shocks in the rear of my maz are bottoming out and it rides to stiff, i know the fron can take older cavilier ones but the front rides fine can anyone help me?
