ok guys this is a serious problem any ideas or clues please help because im to broke to take it to the shop. here is the problem
when i start my truck and drive it like ill have the gas down it loses power for a second then ill get it back or ill take my foot off the gas and it will like jump almost like its stalling but its not its just losing power for a qucik second. next i can be driving and the rpm gauge will go up and i hear it revving but there is no change in speed and if i take my foot off the gas and put it back down it will be fine. it seems to be idling at like 550-600rpm when i heard 89-94 toys idle between 750-950 rpm. and lastly i can be sitting at a light or whatever and it will sit at like anywhere between 750rpm or 1000rpm and spike up to 1500 rpm and keep doing that rapidly like im revving it myself its weird. but then it seems like after its warmed up for a bit like 15-20 mins it goes away. recently i took it in for the gas cutting out deal and the revving and they said it was a fuel filter well they changed that and its still doing it. they also said they adjusted the valves they changed spark plug wires and distributor cap. if anyway has any clue as to what it could be or what i can check please let me know.
