hey to all you bagged and/or body dropped guys.... how much room do you have between the edge of your rim/tire and the inside of the bed fender well when you are layed out?

Reason I ask is I am going to be swapping in a Ford 8.8" rear axle assembly into my project, and theres a bunch of different width options depending on the vehicle/year it comes out of.

Stock toyota axle is 58.5" from wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface (where the rim is flush against the drum).

I can get a rear axle out of an explorer with full disc brakes, posi, etc for a great price, however the wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface is a full 1" wider....which is only a 1/2" on each side....

My frame is going in for fab work next weekend and I need to have the proper rear by then!

Thanks guys...

I have 3/8".

is that from the sheet metal lip itself, or is there anything else in the "well area" that gets closer....

If you were to roll your rear fender lip, how much room would you gain ya think?
