my options?

im fixing to buy a 96 Chevy Fullsize Ext. Cab. It is bagged on 17's (i know, they will be bigger soon lol). The frame lays out but, so does the gas tank. I have seen people relocate the tank into the bed but it sticks over the rails and looks like shit. What are my options as to making my gas tank not lay out? Is there any room to move it up about an inch and a half or so? My friend said i could buy a blazer gas tank and it would work and it is shorter. I am hugely addicted to dragging so please list my options for me so i can get this fixed and start railin' this bitch.
