2.2L sucks want 4.3 or bigger

i have the usual 2.2L s-10 and i am sick of it being so slow and everything. i have been looking into the 4.3L vortec V6. has anyone done a swap like this before and how hard would it be? is it worth the time or should i just go V8?thanks,
