Where to lube window regulators or??? Hard to roll up and down.

Title says it all. I had a friend whos regulator broke because his windows were so hard to roll down at the lower point. Is there a specific place you can lube the regulator or any other things to do that can get them to roll a little easier. I don't wanna break mine.
