Hey guys, I've bagged my truck once with an over the axle setup with a suicide doors bridge kit, and I didn't like the outcome of my first bag job (the stuff from S.D. was awesome, i was just a shitty welder then.), so i'm going to be redoing the rear frame rails and doing a complete suspension overhaul. I've got a few questions first though...
1. I want to mount the bags on the upper tri bars and shocks on the lower bars, will this help the ride quality, or will it only keep the lift down? I've been looking at several setups, but I've decided I'd rather have ride quality than 40 inches of rear lift..LOL
2. 2x2 with 1/4" thickness will be plenty for the back half of the frame right? BUT I plan on relocating my gastank to the rear-end of the truck or putting a fuel cell in the rear of the truck, wil the weight of the cell and gas warp the 2x2??? I'm going to build crossmembers to help brace it, but I mean, weight is weight and it will bend.
3. If anyone has any better ideas then I'd appreciate them, but no 2-link Ideas because around here in the mountains, two links ain't for shit..our roads have got more potholes than a 13yr. old has pimples...
Thanks,Chris Ford
