How to wire amp to capacitor??

I'm going to install 2 15" Kicker L7's, an Audiobahn A18001DQ Amp, and a Lightning Audio 1.0 farad capacitor. How do i install the cap. to the amp and then to the subs?? I've heard that cap.'s can only be wired in parallel?? any help would be appreciated. Thanx
