front bag problem not laying out?????????!!!!!!

i have a 99 tacoma.So i am kind of pissed. today i started to bag my truck. i flipped the b/j and did every thing correctly but when i started measuring i realized it was not going to lay out. I will never buy AIM mounts again. i have to go back and make new lower mounts and cut the upper cups. any one ever run into this problem? maybe i am missing something.. also what do you all do about the proportioning valve in the back for your rear brakes? plus if you have pics of your front set up it would help out alot.
